Barbara Mantini
Vocalist/Actor/Vocal Coach
Barbara Mantini is a multifaceted artist, renowned as a vocalist, actor, and vocal coach. She regularly performs in jazz clubs, theatres, and music festivals alongside some of Canada's best musicians and artists. This award-winning talent is a recipient of an NMA for "Jazz Artist of the Year", and in 2020 released her solo jazz CD, titled “Maybe Someday” featuring original songs as well as jazz covers.
She is a long-time member of the award winning singing trio, the "Mantini Sisters, and together they’ve enchanted audiences with their harmonious melodies and captivating performances and recordings, earning acclaim and recognition throughout their career.
Beyond her success as a singer, Barbara’s versatility shines through her ventures in acting and lending her voice to jingles and animations such as “The Busy World of Richard Scarry”, “Rupert”, and “Babar-The Movie”. Behind the mic, she is also a freelance audiobook voice director. Barbara has graced the stage for numerous professional theatre companies, including, Theatre Aquarius, Victoria Playhouse Petrolia and The Charlottetown Festival, showcasing her talent for dramatic interpretation.
When not performing, Barbara is an instructor in the Acting for Film and Digital Media program at Niagara College.
